A Survey on the Salmonella Isolated in Slaughtered Cattle at the Seoul Abattoir

Abstract
|
|
|
An experiments to isolate and identify Salmonella from 537 Slaughtered Cattle at Seoul Abattoir, during the period from April 1st to September 30th, 1971.
The results obtained were summarized as follows:
1. Five strains of Salmonella were isolated from 537 cattle examined.
2. Of these, two strains belonging to group C were isolated from 532 material of metenteric Iymphnodes and were unable to be identified.
3. One strain from 537 materials of rectal contents was S.Bormum.
4. Two strains from 532 materials of rumen contents were each S.harford and S.pullorum.
